What SPORT do you enjoy playing?

Do you enjoy a round of golf once a week, play tennis or belong to a tenpin bowling league. Is lawn bowling now the sport you love to play or do you enjoy something very different?

Tell everyone about the sport you enjoy playing as you might just inspire someone to take up a new sport.

What SPORT do you enjoy watching?

Are you a fan of AFL or Rugby watching all the games and often going to see them play live. Is it far to expensive to see a live sporting event these day compared to years ago when you were first working?

If you have been to a live sporting event like the tennis, a grand final or perhaps the golf was it as good as you expected?

Leave your comments about the sport you enjoy watching and the changes you have seen over the years.

I played Aussie Rules for 25 years never got to the elite section but couldnt wait for saturday to come around. The best year I had was 1968 playing for Sth Adelaide under fifteens went through undefeated (as well as winning grand final). I get peeved with what people call the A.F.L. no such thing exists, the reason I say this is because they play for a Victorian Medal (Brownlow) which means nothing to a South australian or a Western Australian, most of the umpires are victorian (Which shows when vic teams play interstate teams). This should still be called the extended V.F.L.,all that aside I hate all these rule changes get back to the original game .Now I love my lawn bowls.

I have recently taken up dragon boating.  It is the best fun and for a person who does not like the sand and sun I am really enjoying it.  We have travelled as a team to Bunbury and Mandurah where we came equal third and got a trophy.  Not bad for a new club only 5 months old.  We are just coming up to our AGM so we have been running (paddling) for a year now.  Paddles up!
I agree with Crezette re the footy - just not the same anymore, too much of a business.

I'll be sitting up again tomorrow night to watch the Wallabies. They've improved this year and should be looking good for the World Cup next year.

Call me a stick in the mud, but, football is not football any more. New rules,  more money and making it a business instead of a sport has changed the game, I just don't find it as interesting. I lost interest around about the mid 80's. What on earth happened to rucks? Here I go -  I remember when football was played on a Saturday afternoon. The guys played by the suburb, for Brisbane. Dad played Agrade for Easts. They went to practice on Friday and played on Saturday. If they won the team got One Pound and the players each got 10bob. If you lost you got nothing.

Have just taken up golf. Not very good yet but my husband and I hope to travel eventually and play lots of golf. As we are still working, we will have to settle for weekends and holidays for a while.
